Like many of you, I’m always on the look out for Facebook apps that give me back something instead of just accessing my information. My friends at Microsoft alerted me that they’ve got a new Facebook app that will let youof their newest game, Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure. I decided to give it a whirl & review it for you all.
How Does it work?
The Kinect Pixar Rush app on Facebook starts by asking you a brief series of questions based on the Pixar movies to decide which character would suit you best. The Rush generator takes your answers and creates an photo album to your Facebook Timeline that shows your friends which character you are. The app also allows you to share your character on Twitter. I’m a car!
What you need to know
The app creates an avatar and cover image that you can download to your computer, these images are sized to be an exact fit for Facebook’s profile & timeline cover shot dimension requirements. This pictures act just like any other pictures that you post to your wall, no links, no worries . You can also use these as wallpaper for your desktop.
This app only works with personal Facebook pages, I tried to use it on my Fan page and was instructed to switch back to my personal profile in order to access it. The app requests your email address & photos, it will also ask for permission to post on your behalf (you can easily edit this permission in your app settings) The app promises your information will only be used to post your character to your Facebook photo album.
The Kinect Pixar Rush app is adorable, the images the app created for me are charming & answering the personality quiz questions brought back a lot of memories of some really great animated Pixar films. This app also made me want to ask you guys to lend me a child or two to play the new game Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure
