Happy Child Better world clothing drive sponsored by LeBulga (you know the people who make those freaking gorgeous handbags!) is a charity effort by LeBulga founder Natalia Konovalova after a recent visit to Voronezh, Russia. Natalie discovered some shocking facts about how many orphaned children there are in Russia and how very difficult it is for the state to keep these unfortunate little ones in food and clothing. She’s come up with a way for fashionable folks everywhere to give back, to help children in need! I was delighted that LeBulga reached out to me about their charitable effort and glad to share it with you, my wonderfully generous readers, after all part of finer living is giving back and what could be more fun than helping small children while keeping our earth greener via recycling our gently used clothing?
Some Sad facts- Info obtained from Le’Bulga
Over 700,000 Russian children live in orphanages. Of those, 17,900 are toddlers under the age of 4. Many have simply been abandoned by their mothers who couldn’t afford to care for them. While the state provides basic food for these orphans, adequate clothing is just not available.
Happy Child Better World charitable goals
LeBulga will host a holiday drive for clothing for Russia’s long, cold winter. The goal is to gather and send enough donations to Russia to clothe all the children at the Voronezh orphanages.
How You can help!
You can take part by donating clothing for children under the
age of 4, either by mail or in person at Le’Bulga’s New York location.

I’m begging my fellow bloggers and readers to act!
Please, let’s show the world how awesome social media is! You don’t have clothing that would fit a child under age 4? You can do things like sponsor postage to help another person to send a box to NYC. You can blog about this charitable effort, you can use the retweet button at the bottom of this post to alert your followers to this wonderful cause! Just think, while many of us sit in our warm homes contemplating which designer handbag we want Santa to bring us a toddler sits shivering for lack of a warm coat, please help, even with just a tweet, Facebook message or post on your site!
Thank you all for reading & helping to make this winter a little less bleak for so many babies and toddlers!
